LAS VEGAS -- Clark County Fire Department personnel treated 172 patients for heat-related injuries between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. today on site at the Vans Warped Tour held at the Silverton hotel-casino.

These concert-goers were essentially provided shade and water and a place to sit down.

An additional 34 patients needing further care were transported to local hospitals for treatment of heat-related injuries.

Onsite medical personnel called for assistance from Clark County Fire once its resources became taxed.

Clark County Fire Department personnel arrived on site, administered aid to patients, and soon called upon local ambulance companies and Henderson Fire to assist in the transport of those needing additional care to area hospitals.
